RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of Black Country Women’s Aid for a Complex Needs Worker.

This is a full time, 12-month fixed term contract, based in the Black Country, offering a salary of £22,308 - £23,850.

Full driving license and access to own vehicle will be required for this role.

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for delivering an effective system of contact, care and support to clients that have multi needs; this includes gathering information regarding the client and their circumstances and assessing requirements for support.
  • Work with identified complex needs clients who present with substance misuse, mental health, care and support needs to overcome barriers to services and engagement.
  • Ensure that clients practical and support needs are identified and a joint support plan developed with clear lines of accountability and responsibility. The support plan should be empowering and achievements at the client’s own pace.
  • Provide assertive engagement, including trauma informed approach, proactively working with clients to encourage engagement in support.
  • Work with a small targeted caseload and provide bespoke services with the aim of bringing about real improvements for the most entrenched and complex service users.
  • Carry out a multiple need’s assessment with each client, including risk assessment, management plan and to research a case history with each service user.
  • Support established/existing risk assessments framework in assessing and managing risk.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of one to one and group work targeted domestic abuse intervention sessions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to minimum Level 3 or equivalent. May consider level 2 if matched with a good level of experience in health and social care, GCSEs English and Mathematics – Grade C or above.
  • Relevant and extensive experience in the field of complex needs, particularly mental health, substance misuse, and including homelessness and offending.
  • Experience of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including clients, colleagues and other professionals.
  • Experience of working/liaising with all stakeholders over the phone and using other forms of communication including, use of emails and written correspondence.
  • Knowledge of the issues facing women, children and young people affected by violence against women along with the ability to identify women’s individual and collective needs and provide one to one support and advice
