Thames Valley Police (TVP) has made a number of changes to senior management, including the appointment of a new Deputy Chief Constable who already has strong ties to the force.

DCC Ben Snuggs, who held the same role at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, has started work after being formally appointed in January.

The new DCC was Hampshire's temporary Chief Constable when the outgoing Olivia Pinkney took over the Strategic Command Course.

He said: “As Deputy Chief Constable, my focus is clear; supporting our new Chief Constable and his vision for Thames Valley Police, and delivering excellent performance that will make our communities proud of us through a bedrock of neighbourhood policing, quality investigations and excellent response,” he said.

DCC Snuggs is already well known to the force, having previously acted as Assistant Chief Constable for Joint Operations for TVP and Hampshire.

TVP has made other changes to its senior management.

ACC Rob France, who was previously ACC for Crime, Criminal Justice, Intelligence and Tasking and Development at Hampshire, will now oversee Joint Operations.

ACC Dennis Murray will be taking on a new role within the force focusing on legitimacy and value to the communities served by TVP.

His previous role will be filled by Katy Barrow-Grint who is now T/ACC for Crime and Criminal Justice.
