Reactive Maintenance Officer
About the Role
As a Reactive Maintenance Officer, you will:
Deliver a comprehensive reactive and proactive property maintenance service across the Force estate.
Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota, providing support to designated buildings as required.
Supervise the Force-wide portering service and maintenance assistants to ensure the effective delivery of a 24/7 customer-focused service.
Manage and coordinate responses to property maintenance issues, ensuring repairs are completed to agreed standards and within statutory requirements.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and health and safety requirements.
Support sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for energy efficiencies across the estate.

As a Freedom of Information Officer, you will play a key role in managing and responding to FOI requests received by the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC). You will research and analyse information, apply FOI legislation and exemptions, draft responses, and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the police service to ensure timely and compliant disclosures.
We're looking for someone with strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to analyse and interpret information.
