Volunteer Rural Mounted Patrol – HIOWC383

This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for horses with supporting your local community. You will play an important role in enhancing rural safety while working closely with local policing teams.
About the Role

Your key responsibilities in this role may include:

  • Provide a visible mounted presence in rural areas to reassure residents and deter criminal activity.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Country Watch Team and local Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT), ensuring duty reports and feedback are completed and submitted.
  • Share relevant information and intelligence with policing teams to support local operations.
  • Undertake required training and participate in continued professional development.
  • Support community events and initiatives, helping to raise awareness of the role and rural policing activities.

About You

  • Do you own a horse, or have permission to use a horse suitable for mounted rural patrols?
  • Are you physically fit and confident in conducting mounted patrols across a variety of terrains?
