*For roles based in London, your contractual place of work will be Stratford. While the Stratford site is expected to become operational from November 2025 – March 2026, you will be required to carry out your contractual duties from Vauxhall or another reasonable location on a temporary basis during the interim period.

Please note that, as Stratford will be your contractual place of work, any subsequent move from a temporary location will not entitle you to payments for travel time or costs under the Relocation and Excess Travel Policy.

Role Description  

To apply you must be a current serving police officer or police staff equivalent.   

As an officer in the Joint International Crime Centre (JICC), you will assess, research and develop information and intelligence in support of UK policing in matters related to international criminality. You will draw on the National Crime Agency’s Annual Plan, National Control Strategy and operational priorities in the fight to address the challenge posed by international criminality. You will plan, research, identify and collate data/information from multiple sources, including internal and external systems and understand available intelligence/information sources and determine the most appropriate to use.

You will support colleagues with creation and preparation of briefings and presentations, and develop relationships with colleagues and team members to further operational awareness of roles and to support partnership working. Working across a range of capabilities your work will support UK law enforcement in the use of international tools including police to police and judicial cooperation, international biometric exchange and evidence gathering.

You will evaluate and grade information in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures. You will be able to identify and assess threat, risk of harm and opportunity for interventions, and to escalate intelligence to the appropriate person promptly for further action. You will maintain awareness of developments in international cooperation in order to provide the best advice and guidance to UK law enforcement.

Essential Criteria

To apply you must be a current serving police officer or police staff equivalent.   

Entry Requirements  

This role is a closed competition and is only available to existing police officers and police staff who must work for a Police Force in England & Wales.

This is a secondment of 24 months with possibility of extension subject to mutual agreement and CS Commissioner’s approval.

We are not accepting applications from Civil Servants.
