Internal Communications Officer

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering internal communications campaigns and initiatives.
  • Creating engaging content for digital, print and face-to-face communication channels.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of intranet and internal communication platforms.
  • Gathering and analysing staff feedback, insight and engagement data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Producing written, visual and video content to support organisational messaging.
  • Advising stakeholders and senior leaders on effective communication approaches.
  • Maintaining brand consistency and corporate identity standards.
  • Building positive relationships with internal and external partners to share best practice and enhance communication effectiveness.

 

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a motivated communications professional with:

  • Experience developing and delivering internal communications within a large organisation.
  •  Experience using data, insight and evaluation to improve communications activity and channels.
  •  Strong content creation skills across digital, print and face-to-face communications.
  •  Excellent writing, editing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  •  The ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging and accessible messaging.
  •  Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders.
  • Creative thinking and an eye for design, branding and visual communication.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams to deliver integrated communications.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving abilities.
  •  Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint and other relevant digital communication platforms.
