With strong and visible leadership skills, and a keen focus on performance, you will be innovative, resilient, authentic and self-aware in your journey to support our Chief Constable in leading Nottinghamshire Police to success.

Working collaboratively with our partners, you will create a credible and professional environment which promotes diversity and enhances service delivery.

Applications are invited from substantive Assistant Chief Constables and Deputy Chief Constables (or equivalent ranks). All candidates must have completed the Strategic Command Course or Stage 5 of the Police Leadership Programme (Cohorts 1,2 and 3).

Applications open on Monday 6th July 2026 and the closing date for application submission is Monday 27th July 2026 at 2359 hours.

 

Shortlisting results will be communicated by Friday 31st July 2026.

All candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be invited to a People Panel which will be held at Nottinghamshire Police Headquarters on Thursday 13th August 2026.

 

Executive Interviews, including a pre-prepared presentation, will also take place on Thursday 13th August 2026 at Nottinghamshire Police Headquarters. Presentation topic will be provided following shortlisting.

The appointment will be subject to vetting and medical clearances.
