We are recruiting six Business & Facilities Clerks to join a busy national law enforcement support organisation. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring the secure handling, processing, and distribution of sensitive correspondence, documentation, and packages while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and data security.
Working within the Business & Facilities team, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of daily business activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and courier deliveries.
Recording and maintaining accurate manual and electronic records.
Identifying and reporting suspicious mail or packages in accordance with established procedures.
Checking information for accuracy and escalating discrepancies when required.
Supporting data protection compliance and reporting any data security concerns.
Providing administrative assistance across the wider Business & Facilities function.
Completing mandatory training relating to health and safety, security, and operational procedures.
Supporting colleagues and assisting with onboarding and peer support activities when required.
Participating in a rota covering early deliveries and late collections.
Good standard of education, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent workplace experience.
Experience handling information using both manual and computerised systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Comfortable using computer systems and keyboard-based applications.
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
Experience maintaining filing, indexing, or records management systems.
Experience working within a criminal justice, policing, public sector, or highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, successful applicants will be required to undergo and maintain enhanced law enforcement security vetting before appointment.
