Reactive Maintenance Officer About the Role As a Reactive Maintenance Officer, you will: Deliver a comprehensive reactive and proactive property maintenance service across the Force estate. Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota, providing support to designated buildings as required. Supervise the Force-wide portering service and maintenance assistants to ensure the effective delivery of a 24/7 customer-focused service. Manage and coordinate responses to property maintenance issues, ensuring repairs are completed to agreed standards and within statutory requirements. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and health and safety requirements. Support sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for energy efficiencies across the estate. Liaise with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure value for money and quality service provision. The TEI Deployment Specialist role will involve deploying, testing, researching & developing covert technical solutions to support policing operations. This role is aimed at those that have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy learning about new and improved technical assets with an eagerness to learn new skills, showing a willingness to take on a technical challenge. The role holder will be offered opportunities to undertake ongoing specialist development. The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organized crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales.  The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s serious and organized Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm. The initial secondment period is for a fixed term 12-month contract reviewable with any extension subject to performance and continued funding. You will research and analyse information, apply FOI legislation and exemptions, draft responses, and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the police service to ensure timely and compliant disclosures. We're looking for someone with strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to analyse and interpret information. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and confident in building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
