Statement Taker/Enquiry Officer needed in Kempston for the Domestic Crime Team for a temporary contract – No shifts.


The main purpose of the role is to support a specialist team committed to protecting victims, in achieving its objectives by investigating volume and priority in serious crime and the provision of services to relieve arresting officers of the responsibility of further investigation, processing and disposal of detained persons and file preparation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing written statements of evidence
  • Working with police officers, specialist departments and other agencies, carrying out investigative and other work into crime, non-crime and general process matters.
  • To assist in intelligence and evidence gathering, including interviewing witnesses.
  • The role will suit a former Detective as investigative experience will be essential to the role.


Our client, is the territorial police force responsible for policing the ceremonial county of Bedfordshire in England, which includes the unitary authorities of Bedford, Central Bedfordshire and Luton. Its headquarters are based in Kempston, Bedfordshire.


 Pay Rate: Up to £15.46ph


Working location: Kempston


Hours: Full time hours 


Duration: Temporary contract up to 3 months, with the potential to be extended. 


Immediate start once satisfactory vetting clearance received.
