Our client is looking to recruit a number of Disclosure Team Members to examine all material within a high profile investigation by applying the guidelines and the Code of Practice as set out in the Criminal Procedures and Investigation Act 1996 (as amended by the Criminal Justices Act 2003), the Disclosure Manual, The Disclosure Protocol and the Attorney Generals Guidelines’ on disclosure.


The Disclosure Team Member will ascertain the relevancy of the material, its evidential value, sensitivity and ability to undermine the case or assist the defence (the disclosure test).  Identify deficiencies and problems with continuity or other evidence related matters and identify any material that is subject to Public Interest Immunity, completing the relevant forms.


You will list all the material for the prosecutor, certifying that it has been inspected in accordance with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 as amended, the Code of Practice and the Attorney General's Guidelines. Disclosure of the material may also be made to other parties, such as the accused or the Court.


The essential requirements are:

The post-holder must be able to demonstrate

  • Proven experience of undertaking the role of Disclosure Team Member in a criminal investigation.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Procedures Investigations Act 1996 and relevant amendments to disclosure requirements.
  • Proven experience of making appropriate decisions based on assessment of existing information.


Desired Criteria

  • Proven experience using of the HOLMES database to produce disclosure MG Schedules.


Location:              Warrington, Cheshire

Salary:                  £14.48ph PAYE - £18.77ph LTD

Full Time:             37 hours per week

Contract:              Temp contract until end of March 2018
