RSR Police are currently recruiting for a MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) support officer, based in Maidenhead.

As a MASH support officer you will review all domestic abuse incidents involving children, prioritise information sharing protocols according to risk with partner agencies and set flags.

You will be responsible for researching and analysing information recorded on police systems and provide confidential written reports to social services for adult and child protection purposes.

We are interested in receiving applications from former policing professionals with knowledge of force systems including NICHE, Command and Control, PNC, etc.

The role itself is paying £12.47 per hour, it’s a full time role (37 hrs a week) and the end date of the role is 01/08/2022 

The key skills that we are looking for with a successfully placed candidate will be:

  • Ensure information in relation to children is recorded in NICHE and amended, linking related incidents and shared with partners appropriately.
  • Flagging priority/ high risk cases/ potentially dangerous offenders and serial offenders to DAIU DS to ensure correct safety planning and safeguarding adhered to.
  • Ensure all incidents where the victim or perpetrator is a VISOR subject and is brought to the attention of the VISOR team and confirming a task is created.
  • Produce reports for each case where an initial conference or a review meeting is required.
  • Confirm all vulnerable adults’ cases are identified, correctly risk managed and investigated and conduct a daily check of dedicated email inbox for the MASH to ensure the identification and referral to the investigative teams.
  • Safeguard and manage all information according to data protection principles and the Government Protective Marking Scheme.

This would match the profile of a support officer who has proven experience of inter-agency partnership work with an understanding of child and/or adult protection. The ideal candidate will also have to be IT literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word and Outlook.
