Marketing Insights Analyst

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Marketing Insights Analyst for an organisation based in London.

The post holder will provide dynamic support for the marketing team, allowing the department to understand, track and make strategic use of its data. The post holder will achieve this through deep analysis of marketing campaigns and audience behaviour, deploying appropriate analytical techniques to help with a range of tasks including but not limited to data segmentation, effectiveness reporting such as return on investment or split test findings, trend analysis to establish booking patterns, and customer profiling by lifetime value.

Location – London
Contract – 12 months (maternity cover)
Pay rate – £26.09 per hour PAYE. £34.70 UMB

Main duties and responsibilities
 

  • Translate stakeholder needs into automated analysis and reports, using tools such as Power BI
  • Project manage analysis activity with a clear communication schedule
  • Provide business recommendations and next steps. Iterate as needs evolve.
  • Scope data warehouse content with our Head of Systems and data engineers
  • Thoroughly validate data against source systems, checking for anomalies
  • Support data migration to a new CRM (Dotdigital)
  • Build Audience segments for marketing communications
  • Administer the sending schedule for marketing communications
  • Create and manage automated email communications, for example welcome, acquisition, engagement and renewal messages.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience (or equivalent) of using marketing database systems to segment, analyse and report on audiences and marketing data.
  • Minimum of 2 years (or equivalent experience) in an analyst or analytic job function interpreting and reporting on campaign and audience data.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other data processing tools.
  • Proficient knowledge of other MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • An ability to understand organisational data and data analysis requirements and being reactive to these requirements when developing reports.
  • Ability to translate research findings into actionable and detailed visual reports, while delivering research driven recommendations. A good understanding of the principles of direct marketing across both on and offline
  • Excellent written communication skills – with the ability to interpret complex data analysis, describe methodology, and summarise findings clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to identify trends or issues within multiple data sets.
