A Cityforum Round Table discussion

Collaboration & integration of bluelight services

– why, to what extent & with whom?

Friday 6 November 2015

One Whitehall Place, London SW1

This highly topical Round Table comes immediately after the consultation on the Government proposals for greater emergency service collaboration.  It will examine how and where the three emergency services could work more efficiently and effectively with each other and with other partners.  To view the agenda visit www.cityforum.co.uk.

As austerity bites even more and all three emergency services come under real pressure to deliver more for less, collaboration and even integration often appear the obvious simple solution.  This Round Table takes a step back to examine what has already been achieved, before moving to a discussion of the potential challenges and blockages to greater collaboration and integration and identification of areas where financial and service benefits could be delivered.

Drawing on UK experience and an interesting and relevant case study from Chicago, the Round Table will bring together the collective experience and expertise of senior public and private sectors leaders.  Syndicated discussions will allow participants to give their views of what can and should be done, and explain where the capabilities offered by the private sector could make a real difference.  The future for bluelights in London will be the focus of one of the sessions.
